Summary Tax Staff Accountant with 0 - 1 year of experience; responsible for the preparation and organization of a variety of tax compliance aspects of the company. Primary Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of federal and state corporate income and franchise tax returns, including preparation of supporting schedules and workpapers. Calculate and prepare estimated tax payments and extensions. Reconcile and analyze fixed assets for tax depreciation and amortization purposes. Assist in the response to state notices. Research various federal and state tax issues and document findings of research. Perform other tasks and projects as requested and assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MAcc preferred. CPA eligible candidate or CPA preferred. Basic knowledge of corporate income tax law. Basic knowledge of multi-state income tax preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Motivated, hands-on approach and successful working in a team environment. Experience/Skills: 0 – 1 year experience in tax compliance. Proficient use of Microsoft Excel. Experience with tax research software preferred. Experience with income tax software a plus.
