Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant with specialized expertise in payroll accounting. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing and related accounting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll regulations, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payroll policies and regulations.
Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments as necessary.
Verify timesheets and attendance records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports, statements, and summaries to management and relevant departments.
Reconcile payroll transactions, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and other payroll-related liabilities.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes.
Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate employee records.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts for month-end and year-end close.
Assist in preparing financial reports related to payroll and provide support for audits.
