Los Angeles, United States Diraq Full time

About Diraq: Diraq aims to redefine scalable quantum computing and bring practical commercial applications to the world by integrating billions of qubits on single chips, compared to the hundreds of qubits that exist today. We are currently expanding our team to create an end-to-end quantum computing company – providing quantum hardware and software as a full stack, cloud accessible service.

Our proprietary technology, backed by 20 years of research and over USD $135M in funding across 10 patent families, allows us to scale using existing silicon CMOS manufacturing and existing foundries, to enable a faster and cheaper road to market.

Since Diraq’s incorporation in May 2022, we’ve embarked on an exciting journey that will be a defining phase in our company's history. By expanding our commercial and technical team in Sydney and establishing our global presence, we're moving at speed to achieve our technical milestones. Our journey is more than just ambitious growth—it is the realisation of our vision, backed by the solid support of venture capital, and delivered by our remarkable team.

If you're invigorated by a rapidly evolving environment and aspire to be part of a journey that shapes the future, we warmly invite you to join us on this remarkable adventure.

Role Overview: We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Investment Director to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing new investors for future capital raises, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of our company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading rounds and closing funding rounds in the deep tech or related industries. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a pioneering quantum computing company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to define their own role and career trajectory in this field.

Key Responsibilities: Identify and engage potential investors who align with the company's roadmap. Develop and execute comprehensive investor relations strategies to attract new investors and cultivate existing relationships. Lead all aspects of the fundraising process, including preparing investment materials, conducting investor meetings, and negotiating investment terms. Collaborate closely with executive leadership to articulate the company's growth strategy, financial projections, and investment opportunities to prospective investors. Manage investor communications and maintain regular updates to keep investors informed of company progress, milestones, and developments. Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and investor sentiment to inform fundraising strategies and optimise investor engagement efforts. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and expand investor network. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on investor feedback, market analysis, and fundraising performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in venture capital or private equity investments, with a proven track record of success in raising Series B and beyond capital raises, preferably within the deep tech industry. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team. Extensive knowledge of the deep tech landscape, global markets, and emerging technologies. Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced start-up environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. A demonstrated knowledge in quantum technologies is ideal. The successful candidate should have a passion for startups and commercialising deep tech.

What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package. Opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and world experts in the quantum computing field and a distinguished senior leadership team and Board. A dynamic, supportive, and innovative work environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Exposure and education from leading experts in the ground-breaking technologies that are shaping the future of quantum computing. You will develop a deep understanding in a range of areas including the interaction of innovation and government, venture capital and commercialising quantum computing technologies.

To apply for this position, please submit your resume (including US working rights) and cover letter to
