The Mental Health Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, unit Nurse Team Manager, Registered Nurse or designee.Education - must have an Associate Degree in mental health technology, human services, or related human services area, or a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent. Job Experience - Previous psychiatric inpatient experience preferred. Job Knowledge - Must have a general knowledge of human behaviors, abnormal and developmental psychology. Requires certification in CPI and CPR.
