We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant who will oversee critical functions within the Accounting department. This position is located at our Butler, PA office.

Responsibilities

* Subject matter expert of GAAP and company standard practice instructions (SPIs) * Perform account reconciliations * Maintain account accruals * Prepare journal entries * Confirm and balance intercompany accounts * Monthly financial reporting with deadlines * Act as primary administrator for company purchase card accounts * Review/approve employee expense reports * Assist with verifying cash deposits and cash application * Process monthly rent payments and serve as contact for property owners * Full scope audit preparation * Assist with fixed asset accounting duties as needed * Prepare/review real & personal property tax returns according to filing deadlines, including processing tax payments * Prepare/review other various tax filings and renewals: annual reports, business licenses, profit returns, sales tax, etc. according to filing deadline, including processing payments * Assist with federal and state tax duties as needed * Perform independent projects and deliverables

Skills

* Strong attention to detail * Strong analytical ability to solve accounting discrepancies * Excellent communication and math skills * Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel

Education/Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance * Some accounting experience preferred
