Supervisor, Patient Care Coordinators

Job Summary: Supervises the day-to-day business operations of the front office. Coordinates a variety of admitting/receptionist/ clerical duties to facilitate the efficient processing and scheduling of patients for the department. Supervises and coordinates activities occurring in the department. Supervises the department clerical, receptionist, and communication roles. Maintains a safe and organized environment. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required Master's Degree: Preferred Five years' technical experience: Preferred Previous Customer Service Representative (CSR) experience: Preferred Essential Functions: Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel. Instructs new professional and/or ancillary personnel on job duties and assignments. Supervises and dispatches transporters. Supervises and performs receptionist duties in both inpatient and outpatient locations including, answering multiple phone lines and keeping records and desk in proper order. Oversees the personnel requirements of the unit on a daily basis and requests additional personnel, as necessary. Receives, interprets, verifies and processes physicians' orders. Oversees each employer database. Maintains office supplies and equipment for the scheduled examination. Manages supplies for the front desk area. Manages telephone and intercom takes messages, and communicates messages to the appropriate person. Provides project management support for administrators. Conducts research upon request. Maintains staffing schedules to provide coverage in clinics as requested. Arranges for meetings including notification, preparing material, reserving room and equipment. Manages transportation schedule. Hires employees and conducts performance evaluations. Incorporates rounding for employee communications. Orients new personnel. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements: Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
