We are passionate, we care about people, we perform at a superior level, and we protect others and our environments.The base hourly rate for this position is $32.00Position Overview:The Maintenance Planner's primary responsibility is to plan and schedule all necessary maintenance activities required to optimize asset performance and reliability. This involves reviewing incoming work requests, scoping and prioritizing the jobs, developing the parts list, and staging the parts once onsite with job instructions for the maintenance crew. The maintenance planner is responsible for parts inventory, including goods receipts on maintenance parts orders, parts consumptions on work orders, and supporting inventory related activities. The maintenance planner will support the development and rollout of the SAP MRO system for the site.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)Generate, prioritize, and plan work for maintenance departmentEstimate materials, time, and manpower requirements for all work requestsProvide daily work orders, guidance, direction to designated maintenance personnelMaintain the work order backlogProvide required Work Order & Maintenance Notification reportManage work order system and equipment hierarchy in SAPCoordinate and manage equipment rentals.Support safety programs and initiativesManage and track repairs to the plant's mobile equipment fleetAssist with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment and process problemsDevelop maintenance work procedures for non-routine tasksDetermination and acquisition of critical spares/setup in SAPManage goods receipts and consumptions of maintenance orders and stock materials in SAPDevelop work instructions to ensure critical maintenance tasks are performed properlyAssist in optimizing preventative maintenance procedures and optimize them to maximize uptime and minimize spend.Ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or overtimePerform other duties as assignedEducation, Experience and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent experience5 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environmentExperience with Maintenance Planning/Scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferredUnderstanding of general mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, air compressor systems, cutting/welding techniques, metal fabrication, PLCs, and electrical systems. General knowledge of mobile equipment repair, A/C and heating systems, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems. Hands on experience preferred.Solid experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Ability to develop work instructions incorporating visual aids and clear instructions.Experience with mechanical and/or electrical drawingsExperience with SAP system strongly preferredMust be self-directed and highly detail-orientatedMust be very organized with solid written and verbal communication skillsSolid knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA requirements.Benefits Johns Manville (JM) offers a wide range of benefits to employees.
