We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design and testing of the electronics systems and infrastructure of the device and equipment used in manufacturing and clinical environments. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of electronic systems development, FPGA design, firmware, PCB design/layout and test development/infrastructure. This role requires leading internal and external cross-functional efforts as well as managing vendor relationships. Responsibilities

Lead all electrical systems initiatives, ensuring our products are safe, effective and secure and delivered on time and on budget. Collaborate with stakeholders to define detailed technical requirements for electronic systems and components. Define and design the system architecture for the electronics in our ultrasound neurotechnology platform. Develop and implement printed circuit board (PCB) designs, ensuring they meet all necessary requirements for scalability and reliability. Design and program field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) to support complex electronic systems. Lead the development and integration of embedded systems, ensuring seamless functionality within the overall device architecture. Lead the initial bringup, testing, and characterization of new electronic designs, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards. Work closely with other engineering disciplines and scientific teams to ensure cohesive integration and alignment across all project facets. Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 10 years of experience in electronic product design, with some experience in medical devices or high-reliability applications. Proficiency in PCB design software and a strong understanding of best practices in PCB layout and manufacturing. Extensive experience in FPGA development, including VHDL/Verilog programming and debugging. Proven experience in developing and integrating embedded systems, with strong programming skills in C/C++ and assembly language. Strong understanding of system architecture principles, including hardware-software integration and signal processing. Demonstrated ability to gather, define, and manage technical requirements in complex engineering projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams. Expertise in bringup, testing, and characterization methodologies for electronic systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovative and efficient solutionsProven capability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
