Employment Status: **Full-Time** **We are currently seeking a full-time cook to join our team**

**Key Duties**

* Prepares, cooks and serves quality food for residents following all therapeutic diets and standardized recipes, in a fast-pace environment.

* Cleans food service work areas as assigned and maintains neat work area.

* Operates all kitchen equipment and properly cleans/sanitizes it.

* Prepares, washes, sanitizes and properly handles pots, pans, and cooking utensils according to procedures in a safe and sanitary manner.

* Performs quality improvement activities including, but not limited to, maintaining temperature logs food and refrigeration, following HACCP rules, and adhering to Department of Public Health regulations.

* Assigns and supervises dietary aides according to schedules.

* Performs other duties assigned by the Food Service Director.

**Educational Requirements:**

High school diploma or GED. Degree or training in Culinary Arts

**Required Experience**

2+ years food service experience. Knowledge of specialized diets preferred

**Position Requirements**

Able to become Serve Safe certified within 2 months of hire date. Able to work in a fast pace environment Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
