Field Service Plumber

The Field Service Plumber will be responsible for providing high-quality plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations at various PRC properties throughout Monmouth County. This is a floating position, meaning the Plumber will travel to different residential and commercial properties as needed to address plumbing-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing systems, demonstrate attention to detail, and be able to work independently while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing pipes, and installing fixtures (sinks, toilets, etc.) across multiple properties.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing systems and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, including clogs, water heater malfunctions, and low water pressure.
  • Install and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, and waste disposal units.
  • Work with staff to schedule and prioritize plumbing work based on property needs.
  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner while minimizing disruption to tenants.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations at all work sites.
  • Assist in emergency situations, including responding to plumbing issues when necessary.
  • Travel between PRC properties in Monmouth County as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional plumbing experience.
  • Valid plumbing license for the state of New Jersey preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and travel between properties as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials or equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including outdoors, basements, and crawl spaces.
  • Ability to work in standing, kneeling, and crouching positions for extended periods.
