Yogi - East West Tea Company is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Financial Analyst – Growth Finance to join our Finance Team.

As an integral member of the Finance team, the Financial Analyst – Growth Finance collaborates with teams at all levels of the organization to report on, monitor, and manage the company’s key financial and non-financial metrics. This is a key role that has a direct line of sight with senior management including the Chief Growth/Marketing Officer, CFO, and COO. The role will provide international exposure working with our European teams in Germany and Italy and will create opportunities to build networking and communication skills.

The focus of this role is directed towards, but not limited to, formulation of pricing strategies, business assessments of new product initiatives, competitive analysis and benchmarking, and business process redesign. This will be accomplished by working closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Project Management, and our Senior Operations Analyst. This position will support analytical and business frameworks as well as a quantitative approach to decision-making to shape the overall strategic course of the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:

Reporting

40% of time

Analyze profitability of product reformulations. Evaluate and analyze customer and SKU profitability, volumes, pricing strategies, and costing. Prepare and evaluate consolidated, channel and brand P&Ls including gross margin analysis. Create and maintain advanced financial modeling that includes data cleaning and data triangulation. This will largely be related to building and maintaining ad hoc reporting for our recently implemented Vena tool. Monitor and analyze trade spend to provide risk and opportunities details to management. Ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

50% of time

Partner effectively with accounting and cross departmentally to develop and implement ongoing cost savings strategies, benchmarking, and incorporating new practices and strategies. Participate in the annual budget process working with senior management, assisting as needed at various stages of the process. Prepare new product proformas including financial models and impact analysis on the business and against existing products working with R&D and Project Management Partner with sales and marketing to provide analysis and recommendations on campaign ROIs and other key metrics. Provide a key role in forward looking financial forecasting as a contributor in our IBP (Integrated Business Process). Create and deliver informative and action driving presentations based on insightful analytical findings.

People and Process Management 10% of time

Through process confirmation, verify implementation and monitor effectiveness of solutions. Assume overall responsibility for the accuracy of financial reporting of sales and marketing. Develop deep best-practice knowledge and be a natural ambassador in supporting analytical and strategic decision making and improving/developing new processes. Use every business interaction to educate managers on financial and strategic outcomes of everyday decisions.

WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:

B.S. or B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience [5 years of related work experience] 3-5 years of progressively complex experience in a financial analytics and planning, preferably in a consumer products context, and the food and beverage industry GAAP Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and techniques. (ex. Power query, what if analysis, data modeling) Data analysis, reporting, problem-solving Familiarity of accounting systems and procedures Full understanding of planning, budgeting and what if scenario modeling methods and concepts Analyze data to identify and resolve problem areas Develop and maintain spreadsheets and reports utilizing multiple data sources Improve workflow processes Experienced in Power Point and delivering impactful presentations Demonstrate professional and effective written and verbal communication skills which includes communicating technical information, verbal and written, in a non-technical manner
