POSITION SUMMARY

GEA is seeking a dynamic and driven Bakery Regional Sales Manager to join our North American Sales Team. This role, covers territories in the USA and Canada, focuses on selling custom engineered equipment and integrated process lines to the bakery industry. We are looking for someone with exceptional sales and organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities to understand and address our customers' needs. Reporting to the Bakery Sales Market Manager and collaborating with our Bakery Area Sales Managers in Italy, you will be responsible for managing and growing our bakery business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Develop and align long-term business strategy plans and targets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engage in industry networking.
  • Participate in trade shows to showcase our products and services.
  • Pre-qualify sales leads and develop sales opportunities.
  • Review RFQs and clarify customer requirements.
  • Submit proposals and develop business opportunities.
  • Gather information regarding market pricing and customer expectations.
  • Prepare and present technical and sales presentations.
  • Continually update CRM and forecast lists.
  • Collaborate with the Business Unit during contract negotiations, including terms, conditions, and pricing.
  • Send order confirmation documents and participate in turnover meetings.
  • Maintain client contact and manage customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • The candidate can be based from a GEA office or work from a home office within one of the core bakery territories, with easy access to a major airport.
  • Must be willing and able to travel approximately 60-80% of the time to visit customers, potential clients, tradeshows, and industry functions.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical), Food Science, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Technical B2B Sales and/or Bakery Production.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, approximately 60-80%, for customer visits, potential client meetings, tradeshows, and industry events.

Preferred:

  • Proven track record in selling custom engineered equipment and integrated process lines to the bakery industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to provide timely feedback to both internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and SAP C4C.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following application areas is advantageous:
    • Cake lines
    • Cookie & Cracker lines
    • Pie lines
    • Pizza lines
    • Snack lines
    • Tunnel Ovens
