Job Summary:
A well-known global organization is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant who is eager for growth and expanding their expertise in accounting. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and receive oversight from Senior Accountants within the Controllership organization. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with numerous opportunities for growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Support the monthly closing process, including preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Prepare various monthly account reconciliations and accruals as required.
- Analyze various general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Analyze financial data and create reports for management review
- Assist with year-end audits and quarterly reviews including 401k audit.
- Participate in various ad-hoc general accounting and finance projects as assigned.
- Support payroll processing and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance required.
- 2 + years of related experience in public accounting or private industry.
- CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel, with advanced knowledge required.
- Knowledge of NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
