Job Description
Critical Business Analysis has an immediate need for a contract Renewable Energy Construction Estimator in the Detroit, MI area with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Estimating. Previous experience in estimating owner side resource needs, indirect costs, and large project formats is a requirement. This is a contract position for a minimum of one year and work will be conducted on a hybrid model with regular visits to the Detroit office. Estimator will work directly with Engineering, Design, Supply Chain, and Controllers.

Pay is commensurate with experience

Requirements
  • Home location that is driving distance to the Southeast, MI. project locations is required.
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years' estimating experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or commensurate experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support multiple infrastructure renewable energy projects developing estimates, updating cost forecast, and tracking estimate at completion.
  • Negotiate commercial terms for construction contracts.
  • Leads, develops and provides analysis of project estimates/schedules.
  • Ensures the credibility of the information contained in the estimate.
  • Perform estimates on change orders/new projects and execute contracts.
  • Lead value engineering sessions & manage the meeting process with optimal results.
  • Provides direct support and expertise to project personnel and estimators/schedulers regarding estimating and/or planning.
  • Provides expertise to develop methodologies, techniques and tools, software, standards and guidelines for estimating and/or planning/scheduling; expert knowledge in application of estimating/scheduling software and application of the software.
  • Supports the project teams and estimating/scheduling personnel efforts towards the development of the project plan and translating that project plan into the project estimate/schedule.
  • Assists with the preparation of project time and/or cost claims.
  • Ensures that required project estimating and/or planning/scheduling controls are appropriately implemented and maintained.
