What You'll Do:

As an HR intern, your primary responsibility will be to assist the HR team in the day-to-day operations of the department. This will include updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.

You will also be responsible for supporting our talent acquisition function by screening candidates, preparing and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates and supporting new hire orientations. In addition, you will need to respond to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.

As a job requirement, you should have a strong interest in pursuing a career in HR and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You should be a quick learner, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should have a basic understanding of HR policies and procedures, be familiar with HR software and databases, and be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Support the talent acquisition function:

o Assist with sourcing and prescreening candidates.

o Update information in our applicant tracking system.

o Assist with creating interview guides and templates.

o Assist with recruitment related projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with the continuous development of New Hire Onboarding & Orientation:
o Observe and evaluate the current onboarding process and recommend improvements.

o Scheduling weekly sessions in Paycom and marking attendance.
  • Conduct HR check in with new hire relating to their first 10-days.
  • Provide support in rolling out new onboarding programs.
  • Support Training and Development Initiatives:
  • Administer and support the Learning Management System (LMS), including tracking training completion and maintaining training records.
  • Support HR team with compliance:
  • Conduct background checks, drug testing, and I-9 verification for new hires in a timely manner.
Work Experience

What You'll Need:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance, recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Bilingual, a plus
