Job Description Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for its PCI Indianapolis operations based in Carmel, Indiana . This individual will provide project management support to construction projects, related to a variety of scopes which may include insulation, interior systems, cleanroom, firestopping, and architectural specialty scopes. Additional job duties include the following: Actively participate in the safety plans and measures of the branch and assigned projects Understand and follow all PCI guidelines related to corporate safety programs Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance Assist in selecting the vendors and coordinate materials and equipment Prepare RFI’s and submittals Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen Complete and be accountable for the job cost control measures through monthly Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAW’s) on assigned projects Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program Support the branch through positive customer relationships and active participation in the Customer Alignment Plan Requirements Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or related discipline, or comparable work experience Minimum 4-7 years' experience in commercial or industrial construction in a construction management role (e.g., Project Engineer, Project Manager, etc) Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes Ability to diagnose and process key information, recognize critical areas on the job that could impact profitability, and then actively navigate the project away from risks and liabilities for a successful outcome Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work in team environment Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught Customer service skills, including ability to work effectively with new people and build strong relationships Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative Works well under pressure and meets deadlines General knowledge of trade tools, equipment and materials used in the construction industry Preferred Requirements: OSHA Certifications Experience with the following scopes of work is preferred: insulation, firestopping, architectural specialty scopes, interior systems, cleanroom, prefabrication Willingness to travel based on project needs is a plus Local to the Indianapolis Metro Area is preferred This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
