Job Description

At Danfoss in Louisville we have an immediate opportunity open for an Order Entry Specialist. As the Order Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving and setting up orders, creating bill of materials and for delivering an excellent level of Customer support. The Order Entry Specialist will work closely together with a competent Supply Chain team, and you will have a key position in the success of the company.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
  • Receive and set up customer orders.
    •Ensure orders are processed completely and accurately and in a timely manner.
    •Create and customize BOM (bill of materials) based on design setup.
    •Order raw materials for sales orders.
    •Coordinate with Production Planners and Sales when there are changes in customer
    requirements.
    •Serves as the primary order contact for Customers.
    •Timely correspondence with customers regarding availability, delivery status, and order
    confirmation to support customer satisfaction.
    •Keep customers informed of the process of the order and anticipated delays, if any.
    •Create forecast together with Sales.
    •Coordinate new projects.
    •Help solve problems and answer questions related to orders to support a high level of
    Customer Service.
    •Creation or updating of standard work materials to drive the most efficient process of
    servicing our customers.
    •Communicate and interact with all customers with a positive and friendly demeanor.


Background & Skills

Qualifications
•HS Diploma or GED, bachelor's degree a plus
•Three or more years relevant work experience
•Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong organization skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT etc.)
•Familiarity with Axapta and/or SAP software.
•Proven problem-solving skills.
•Team player who can foster positive working relationships.
•Customer service mentality and ability to build customer trust.
•Ability to perform in often stressful, multi-task environment.
•Ability to self-start and perform with minimal supervision.
•Analytical thinking and excellent attention to details.
•The ability to handle customer complaints in a professional and calm manner
