CURRENT OPENINGS:
*Part-time: 15-25 hours per week
*7:00AM-3:30PM with occasional 6:00AM-2:30PM-Every other weekend.

The Caf Attendant ensures all caf guests are attended to in an appropriate and timely manner.This position will be performed in accordance with Mennonite Home CommunitiesCore Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred Formalculinary education or previous experience in an institutional facilitypreferred Experiencein food preparation and following recipes

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Preparesvarious food items for the caf. Demonstrates basic culinary knowledge,including portion control, slicing, cutting techniques
  • Monitorstable areas, keeps vacant tables cleared off and clean
  • Operatesthe cash register, fills/cleans the salad bar, slices meats, and performsmiscellaneous prep duties, as assigned
  • Assiststhe caf cook and operates the caf the cook's absence, as needed. Assists inspecial functions and culinary events
  • ServesResidents in a pleasant and gracious manner. Attends to any special needs ofresidents or guests
