CURRENT OPENINGS:

* Part-time: 15-25 hours per week
* 7:00AM-3:30PM with occasional 6:00AM-2:30PM-Every other weekend.

The Café Attendant ensures all café guests are attended to in an appropriate and timely manner. This position will be performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Formal culinary education or previous experience in an institutional facility preferred.Experience in food preparation and following recipes.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Prepares various food items for the café. Demonstrates basic culinary knowledge, including portion control, slicing, cutting techniques.Monitors table areas, keeps vacant tables cleared off and clean.Operates the cash register, fills/cleans the salad bar, slices meats, and performs miscellaneous prep duties, as assigned.Assists the café cook and operates the café the cook's absence, as needed. Assists in special functions and culinary events.Serves Residents in a pleasant and gracious manner. Attends to any special needs of residents or guests.
