Position Overview:
As a Selkirk Sport Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of our pickleball paddles. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment, ensuring the production of top-notch products that meet our quality standards. Qualifications:
No experience necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Production Department as a Shipping and Receiving Associate. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of our department.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring products are correctly labeled and prepared for shipment.
Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, inspecting for damages and verifying the accuracy of the received items against purchase orders.
Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by performing regular cycle counts and participating in periodic inventory audits.
Shipping and Logistics: Coordinate with shipping carriers, generate shipping labels, and ensure timely dispatch of customer orders.
Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet Selkirk Sport's standards before shipment.
Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to fulfill orders, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory management.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.`
Physical ability to lift and move boxes of various weights.
Skills Required
Eagerness to work together with team members and take direction from others in order to complete the tasks efficiently.
Ability to switch tasks as warehouse demands shift throughout the day.
Operating warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
Selkirk requires a 3-month probationary period before being considered for direct employment.

Starting wage:
$18 per hour depending on experience
Schedule:
40 hours, inclusive of a half day on Fridays.
