We sell primarily through plumbing showrooms and specifiers such as architects and contractors, and offer both stock and highly customizable products. Description/Essential

Duties:

Reporting to the Purchasing and Planning Manager, the Buyer/Planner will support our purchasing department with the selection and procurement of products. This position is responsible for demand planning/forecast, supply planning, vendor relationship management, and inventory management. The duties of this key role in the purchasing department will focus on: Forecasting/Demand Planning: Own and manage the SKU level forecast to improve the forecast accuracy. Supply Planning: Release purchase orders to drive the right supply to support the business need. Manage the ETA of POs in the ERP system. Inventory management: Continue to improve the inventory turn without a risk to supply. Supplier relationship management: Manage the supplier performance and negotiations to obtain the best cost value from the suppliers. New Product Launch: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, and Operations), to ensure the new product launch achieves the targeted timeline. Manage the product transition to avoid the inventory exposure. Reporting: Create reports to enhance the efficiency of the workflow. Analytical skill and attention to detail – capable of analyzing and interpreting data Strong/Advanced Excel skills Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams – Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and so forth Ability to interact professionally with all levels in the organization Have strong problem-solving attitude Comfortable creating reports and providing updates on projects or purchasing related data Experience with using an ERP system Understand and familiar with Engineering drawings, technical documents, the manufacturing process and materials, and receiving and inspection process Highly Preferred Experience: Managing the purchasing of individual component parts Understanding of international purchasing standards Experience with long lead time purchasing practices

Education and Experience:

The desired minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or another related field. Five (5) years of experience in a demand

planning/forecasting

or supply chain management related field within a design and manufacturing environment preferred. Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formulas, data analysis, etc.). Understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment. Experience with negotiations and supplier management APICS CPM certification is preferred.
