The Role The Technical Development Operations Science & Technology team seeks a candidate to support process monitoring, failure investigation, and production troubleshooting for pre-clinical operations in the Technical Development department. This is an onsite role based in Moderna’s Technology Center campus in Norwood, MA. This position will require you to execute both independent and collaborative work across operating and development teams to implement robust processes to produce DNA, RNA, and LNP. You will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly motivated team. Here’s What You’ll Do Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams tasked with platform improvement or building new manufacturing capabilities. Collaborate with multiple departments including Process Development, Integrated Robotics, Digital, and Analytical Development to implement new processes. Update and write technical documentation and standard operating procedure (SOPs) associated with production as needed. Analyze complex data to inform areas for improvement. Provide technical support for DNA, RNA, and LNP manufacturing including troubleshooting, process improvements, and failure resolution. Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time. Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications) Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related technical discipline. Experience: 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or no previous experience required with a Master’s degree. Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications) Experience with process tech transfer, including facility fit assessment and definition of process and equipment requirements. Highly organized with drive and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace. Ability to lead and work in large cross-functional teams. Exceptional analytical and communication skills, whether oral or written. Ability to analyze large, complex data. Technical agility with the capability to manage diverse technical areas.
