Requirements
SUMMARY: We are looking for a skilled Field Engineer to provide technical support and expertise to our clients in the field. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Information Technology, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset. The Field Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, as well as providing on-site training and support to clients.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
•Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of servers, switching, firewall and access points.
•Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by clients in a timely and efficient manner.
•Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical problems and escalate issues as needed.
•Provide technical training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of desktop and mobile applications.
•Document all work performed, including troubleshooting steps, solutions implemented, and any relevant client interactions.
•Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
•Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while interacting with clients and representing the company on-site.
•Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
COMPENTENCY: Field Engineer
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
•Strong technical background with expertise in servers, switching, firewall and access points.
•Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
•Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English
QUALIFICATIONS:
•2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in information technology.
•Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
•Certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco and Fortinet are a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Remotely or at client site.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, occasional Saturday/Sunday or after hours dependent on client needs.
TRAVEL: Frequent local travel to client locations to service client sites.
