Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/05/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a CO or compact license for a 12-week night shift Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring at least one year of specialty experience. Responsibilities Work on the Orthopedics Acute unit in a hospital setting 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week, for a 12-week contract Patient population includes orthopedic medical-surgical cases Uses Epic for charting and documentation; Epic experience required May be required to float to other departments based on business needs Potential for on-call hours during scheduled shifts Independently performs assessments, develops and evaluates nursing care plans, and manages therapy and treatment plans for orthopedic patients Collaborates with other healthcare professionals for patient care and consults as needed Supports hospital's mission and adheres to established service standards Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment Must comply with testing requirements and be prepared to complete background check and drug screen promptly upon offer First-time travelers may be considered Requirements Active RN license in Colorado or compact state required at time of consideration Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (ASN required; BSN preferred) American Heart Association BLS certification required, must be valid through assignment At least one year of recent experience in Med/Surg Orthopedics required Epic EMR experience required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-646338.
