Our client is currently seeking a Controller

Travel Required:

8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.The Controller directs and oversees an accounting team and is responsible for the financial activities of the corporation, including the preparation and analysis of financial reports, month-end and year-end close, the annual budget and forecasts, required audits, inventory costing, and special projects. This position requires a professional work demeanor, maintaining the highest of business ethics.Responsibilities:

Overseeing the Accounting department, and all financial activities noted above. Working with other department heads. Working with and having the main relationship with the bank. Working with and being the main contact with the insurance agency for corporate insurance coverage. Working with the leadership team to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.Analyzing operational efficiencies. Conducting economic trend analysis and future impacts. Identifying and implementing efficiencies in the accounting department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting or Finance required. Certified Public Accountant designation preferred. Eight years of experience or more in accounting or finance required. Three years of experience or more in supervision and/or managing of others. Manufacturing, inventory, and distribution experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of working with an ERP system, and Mac-Pac ERP system a plus. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Can deal with potential conflict in addressing issues with reports. Detail oriented with exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent decision-making, judgment, integrity and ethics. Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting practices and procedures, and an understanding of government regulations and reporting requirements.
