Water/Wastewater Project Engineer Job Description:

My client is seeking a skilled and experienced Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess 5-10 years of experience in the field of water and wastewater engineering, with a strong background in project management and design. The Water/Wastewater Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and client requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable. 5-10 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a focus on project management and design. Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to water and wastewater systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with budgeting, cost estimation, and project scheduling. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green infrastructure practices is a plus. Responsibilities: Lead the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater projects from conception to completion. Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and hydraulic analyses to inform project design. Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and permits are obtained. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of project deliverables. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members. Stay informed about advancements in water and wastewater technology, regulations, and best practices. Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations. The Water/Wastewater Project Engineer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality water and wastewater infrastructure projects that meet the needs of our clients and communities while safeguarding public health and the environment.
