Close major system sales through a "top down" consultative selling approach. Coordinate with specific resources (software engineers, controls engineers, CAD / Simulation Engineers, etc.) to prepare reports and proposals. Meet with client employees, executives, or other stakeholders to understand the challenges faced by the client organization Act as the primary client interface on Consulting engagements; oversee a consulting project from inception to completion including: Budget Schedule Scope Management Customer Satisfaction Guide the research and analysis conducted by associate consultants and use this information to draw conclusions and develop recommendations including: Activity profiles and design requirements Appropriate order fulfillment methodologies, storage media, process design, and material handling technologies/applications Oversee the development of conceptual design solutions; communicate and transition conceptual designs to Engineering and other Business Units Develop labor & financial models to evaluate alternative solutions and prepare business case analyses Prepare materials to describe recommended solutions including description of operations, throughput and storage capacities, business case documentation, etc. Lead in presenting research, findings, deliverables, and recommendations to clients Travel Requirements 30% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Bastian Solutions) Qualifications Bachelor or Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields. 8+ years experience analyzing, sizing, designing, justifying, and implementing complex material handling solutions in a leadership role Experience with data analysis tools (PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL) preferred. Understanding of supply chains and distribution or manufacturing systems is a plus · Experience with computer simulation (FlexSim, Demo3D, Arena, etc.) a plus; Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company, is an independent material handling and robotics system integrator providing automated solutions for distribution, manufacturing, and order fulfillment centers around the world.
