Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gathering business and application requirements from the customer, including forward interaction and promotion of Supermicro products.
Design and implementation of customer solutions with products and platforms available, both on and off roadmap.
Leading training and education efforts on Supermicro and market technology, focused on customer needs and requirements.
Working with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operation teams to initialize or support business at the customer and Supermicro, Pre-Sale and Post-Sale support.
Ability to work as a highly technical problem solver, understands system architecture, hardware, and software interaction.
Visit on-site facilities and operations to enable solution integration and issue resolution.
Lead in solution development, work with design, testing engineers to enable new enterprise and data center solutions.
Ability to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds the customer’s business needs.
Other duties may also be assigned by FAE management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering, and electrical engineering preferred, or an equivalent combination of profession experience and training.
Excellent communication skills and business sense required.
10+ years of related experience with Compute/Storage Server or Data Center or IT Infrastructure experience desired.
Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture.
Familiar with Data Center infrastructure, Network infrastructure, or Liquid-Cooling architecture is a plus.
Solid HW system design and diagnostics skills.
Familiarity with Firmware, Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms is a plus.
Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Individuals must be able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
