Job Summary

The primary focus of this role is to strategically drive year-on-year growth of Edelman, Knoll Textiles, and Maharam sales in Europe to the trade by successfully managing a team of sales representatives throughout Europe. This role is responsible for helping craft Edelman, Knoll Textiles, and Maharam’s strategic sales approach to Europe under the leadership of Senior, Director Sales Europe and Vice President, Sales Edelman, Knoll Textiles, and Maharam.

Essential Functions

Possess a highly developed EQ and a passion for coaching individuals for professional growth. Possess tactful ability to engender trust and confidence as a leader. Successfully establish goals for each territory that when imlemented will achieve the larger corporate objectives. Conduct quarterly analysis of strategic projects, YTD sales, projections, and presents findings to Senior Director, Sales Europe, and Senior Director, Business Transformation. Develop strategy and make recommendations to leadership on a tailored plan to each market. Executes plan with oversight from Senior Director, Sales Europe. Superior critical thinking and the ability to handle problem resolution smartly and with confidence; such as price, delivery, QA, or installation problems. Proactively coordinate with internal departments such as, Maharam Design Studio, Media, Merchandising, Operations, Programming, and Fulfillment to meet the objectives of European business. Guide our sales representatives in selling Edelman, Knoll Textiles, and Maharam, with finesse and serve as an internal expert. Possess savoir faire, and superior relationship building skills to capitalize on strategic opportunities successfully. Field and support most important questions from sales reps. Research potential market segments across Europe as well as within largest territories. Travel frequently with sales reps in key markets and provide ongoing coaching. As needs and demands adjust, so too will the travel expectation accordingly. Conduct and attend regional conference calls to discuss the status of the sales initiative and field questions from the sales team. Conduct ongoing research of industry competitors.

Magnitude and Relationship Reporting

This position reports to Senior Director, Sales Europe and may receive additional assignments and direction from VP, Sales.

Contacts Inside and Outside the Organization

This position has contact with specifying clients, purchasing customers, and end-users; internal departments including: resource management, sample fullfillment, QA, credit, and key client services; sales management, and local sales reps and sales coordinators in other offices as needed for project follow-up.

Job Description

Ability to work to Maharam protocol and process, without direct supervision. Computer savvy with working knowledge of MS Office including outlook, and Word; and ability to learn DON and various Maharam specific computer functions. Ideal candidate will be fluent in English and proficient in Danish, German or Dutch.

Education And Experience

A bachelor’s degree or equivalient

7-10 Years Industry Related Experience, With Sales Management Preferred.
