T&D - Estimator

The T&D Estimator is responsible for estimating the cost of substation projects. This includes gathering information about the project, such as the size and complexity of the transmission/distribution systems, the type of equipment that will be used, and the labor costs. The T&D Estimator will also need to be familiar with the local construction market and be able to factor in any potential delays or cost overruns.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and electrical engineering, as well as experience working on T&D projects. They will also be proficient in using estimating software and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather information about the project, such as the size and complexity of the substation, the type of equipment that will be used, and the labor costs.
  • Develop an estimate for the cost of the project, taking into account all of the factors involved.
  • Review the estimate with the project manager and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare a final estimate for the project and submit it to the client.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working on T&D projects.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
