Description:

The Data System Specialist Specialist would support the district with Online Registration and ongoing Infinite Campus support.
Pay & Benefits:
The starting pay is $27.89 an hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $4.80 more per hour when completing continuing education. A competitive and comprehensive benefit package is also available.

Job Summary:
  • Responsible for the technical design and implementation of Infinite Campus Online Registration.
  • Perform user support for Infinite Campus and may also support a variety of computer, software, networking, and/or system issues.
  • Provides updates to leadership about internal user groups for improvement and use of database systems.
  • Maintain communication with staff to ensure current and future data management needs are being met.
  • Performs routine, time-specific maintenance on instructional and administrative database systems.
  • Creates and documents procedures for the use of instructional and administrative database systems.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in information technology, computer science, or a related field; and two to three years of computer support experience preferred in database systems. (Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered.)
  • Experience supporting web-based applications and experience with Infinite Campus
  • Excellent skills in communication, personal relations, and supporting multiple operating systems.
  • Ability to work well both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and ability to provide customer service;
  • Knowledge of applicable computer and operating systems;
  • Knowledge of database management techniques;
  • Knowledge of SQL;
  • Ability to meet strict time deadlines and to prioritize work accordingly;
  • Ability to perform work that requires close attention to detail;
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience;
  • Ability to work independently and make work-related decisions;
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks;
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels;
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential information in accordance with District policies.
