Local CDL-A Driver

System Freight, Inc., a leader in transportation and logistics services specializing in direct-to-store deliveries and comprehensive fleet outsourcing, is looking for a dedicated Local CDL-A Driver. Based in the scenic Northeastern United States, our drivers play a vital role in maintaining the flow of goods to our valued clients, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This position is perfect for those who excel in short-haul transport and are looking for stable hours, consistent pay, and an opportunity to become part of a supportive team in the logistics sector. Safely operate and navigate a tractor-trailer or other large vehicle to transport goods, predominantly in the Northeastern United States. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Manage delivery schedules and routes efficiently to ensure timely delivery of freight. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and pickups, representing System Freight, Inc. as a frontline ambassador. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, adhering to federal and state regulations. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles as per company policies and regulations. Handle paperwork related to deliveries, including signatures, receipts, and the transfer of products. Strong driving record and proficiency in managing transportation vehicles, specifically Class A trucks. Excellent navigational and route management skills. Ability to handle and direct on-road and delivery situations effectively. Good physical health and ability to handle manual tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.
