Title: Title Policy Specialist
Job Summary:
This individual contributor role is responsible for the examination of the efficacy of existing policies and laying the groundwork for new programs and legislation to meet SLAs, objectives, and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audits title commitments and CD to ensure underwriting requirements have been met. Ensuring vesting is correct, all requirements have been satisfied (scheduled B II), the correct title insurance amount and endorsements were collected for at closing, verify what endorsement were required by the client, reviews recorded instruments to verify all documents are properly executed, acknowledged, recorded in the correct order, legal description matches the vesting deed, recorded in a time that meets the client performance and SLA requirements prior to preparing the title insurance policy
  • Reviews all requests for updates, corrections and identifies issues. Verifies the update/correction is need and take necessary action to re-issue the policy and provides to the client within the required SLA. Resolves any issue that they can, if they cannot resolve the issue, they escalate the team lead.
  • Respond to requests for updates on policy status and corrections and issues title insurance policy to the customer with related documentation.
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative premium Remittance reporting support
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years policy industry experience, with previous title examiner experience.
  • Experience with RamQuest closing operations system and all integration systems preferred.
  • National experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as title commitment, lender’s instructions, purchase contracts and other related documents required to verify the lenders closing requirement have been met.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High-level customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to productively interact with peers, customers, and management.
  • Mathematical acumen to analyze complex equations.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow workflow and manage their daily WIP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
