Project Manager, Portal Redesign and Deployment

Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the comprehensive redesign and systematic expansion of our corporate web portal. Ideal candidates will possess significant experience in managing large-scale software development projects, extensive technical knowledge, and robust leadership capabilities. The selected individual will oversee the project from initial concept to full implementation, including an initial release phase, ensuring a smooth progression at each phase.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Architecture:
    • Direct the full-scale redesign and development of the corporate web portal, ensuring integration and coherence.
  2. Project Management:
    • Employ both traditional and Agile methodologies to manage the project from start to finish.
    • Lead interdisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met on time.
  3. Technical Guidance:
    • Provide strong technical leadership and align software designs with business goals.
  4. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Liaise with executive management to secure project endorsement and ensure strategic alignment.
    • Maintain open and transparent communication with all stakeholders regarding project developments, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
  5. Release Oversight:
    • Oversee the phased launch of the portal, managing from an interim release to the full version.
    • Schedule deployments while maintaining quality standards and minimizing disruption.
  6. Risk Management:
    • Proactively identify project risks and dependencies, creating strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  7. Agile Leadership:
    • Promote Agile practices, leading continuous improvement and fostering efficient team dynamics.
  8. Technical Tools Proficiency:
    • Utilize project management tools efficiently for tracking progress and resource management.
  9. Quality and Testing:
    • Collaborate closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive testing and successful deployment.
  10. Continuous Improvement:
    • Handle post-launch activities, including user feedback, performance monitoring, and ongoing enhancements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in project or program management within technological environments.
  • Proven expertise in leading significant web portal development projects.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies; Agile certification is beneficial.
  • Mastery of project management software, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and the software development life cycle.
  • Previous experience in the financial services sector, particularly in wealth management or broker-dealer operations, is preferred.
