Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be part of the AI & Cloud Engineering (ACE) Division and Customer Engineering team. Our Customer Engineering team is a global team helping customers easily use our software tools and services. The Customer Engineering team supports customers on our current and future SOC platforms as well as custom projects and proof of concepts. As a Software Application Engineer - ACE, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications that meet our organization’s needs and requirements. You should have a strong background in web and embedded development, programming languages, and software engineering principles, as well as a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly web applications. Our division’s mission is to use the latest AI and cloud technologies to develop the best AI inference for Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), building self-driving vehicles and other high performance compute products. You will join our newly formed AI & Cloud Engineering organization of around 100 software engineers. Due to strong demand for our AI-related products we are planning to triple in size in the next three years, so there is lots of room for you to help us grow the team together while remaining small. We are focusing on our hiring into our Tokyo, Beijing and Singapore sites. If you are successful and living outside of these cities, we can support your relocation to one of the three sites based on team needs.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain web-based or embedded applications using modern technologies and frameworks.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
Implement user interfaces that work seamlessly across different browsers and devices.
Integrate third-party APIs and services into web applications to enhance functionality and user experience.
Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to identify and fix issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability of web applications.
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other team members as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
Experience working as a Web Developer, Embedded Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
Proficiency in web development technologies and frameworks such as HTML, Javascript, React, or similar.
Programming skills in languages such as Javascript, C/C++, Python, or similar.
Experience with server-side programming languages and frameworks such as Django, React, or similar.
Knowledge of web standards, protocols, and best practices for web development.
Experience with applying security mechanisms for web applications such as handling certificates and tokens.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to speak and write in English at a business level.
