Job Overview: Five Star Painting is a well-known, fast growing international paint company specializing in residential and commercial re-repaints. We are looking to hire a Production Manager for the West Houston franchise. This position will be an integral part in the growth of our franchise. As a Production Manager, you are a key team member in upholding our commitment to customer satisfaction and professionalism. You will coordinate and guide residential and commercial painting jobs from customer contract approval though the scheduling, production and customer approval stages and serve as the focal point for communication among the various involved parties. You have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers and are able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis. If you are looking to advance your career and have an ambitious spirit, strong leadership skills, and value the opportunity to work in a dynamic work environment with opportunity to advance, we would love to speak with you.Key Responsibilities and Duties: Serve as a daily point of contact for customersOversee crews and all aspects of productionEnsure assigned projects are kept on schedule and within budget while meeting clients' needs and delivering a quality projectPlan, schedule and coordinate painting projects from estimated to completed in close consultation with the owners and when necessary architects, contractors, remodelers and other representativesHire and maintain competent painting subcontractor crews and keep proper ratios of painting crews to projectsCoordinating other trades such as: pressure washing, carpenters, stucco repair, etc.Lead weekly production meetings and ensure proper document control and recordkeepingComplete necessary administrative paperwork and duties including determination of subcontractor weekly paymentsProvide weekly reports to the President of Five Star Painting of West Houston Required Skills and Attributes: Three to five years of years of industry related experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsComputer literate, with working knowledge of work processing, business software and spreadsheet applicationsProfessional appearance and personalityTeam player who can work independently PunctualAbility and willingness to fill in as a Salesperson/estimator for short periods of time Willing to join networking groups to promote Five Star of West Houston and develop business contactsBi-lingual is a plusCompensation: Base salary plus commission or straight commission optionsMileageUnlimited earning potentialWe are actively interviewing for this position.Behind every excellent paint job, are the people who get to know the homeowner, help craft the design, improve the look and feel and even keep the project moving along.
