WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Compliance Associate, Grant Contracts works in close collaboration with the Director to provide analysis, post award services, and oversight to ensure compliance with grant specific requirements. The Associate will serve as a resource for staff of grant-funded programs for fiscal and programmatic compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct grant status reviews, post-award compliance reviews, and monitoring of grants to promote compliance with sponsored agency guidelines.
  • Review and analyze grant agreements and contracts to provide effective grant management and compliance support.
  • Serves as the liaison for program staff for all contract-related items to ensure coordination and alignment of functional activities and synergy of approaches.
  • Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding grant compliance, policies, and procedures, resolving related issues and concerns.
  • Maintains the reporting process to include tracking, validating, processing, and filing to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.
  • Assist with assembling and preparing audit documentation for virtual or on-site monitoring visits from funding agencies, participating as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain resources such as handbooks and other tools or instruments that support effective grant management practices.
  • Stay current with relevant rules, policies, and requirements via formal external training and independent research to enhance compliance across all contracts.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in grants administration, specifically reporting.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit preferred.
  • High degree of research, data management, and analytical ability.
  • Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects from creation to completion, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team and collaborate effectively with staff across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
This position requires travel between sites and therefore, you must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and liability insurance in the amount of $100/$300K. Also, if hired, you must produce evidence of having received the Covid-19 vaccination.
