About the Opportunity: ? Job Title: CNC Machinist ? Pay: $27/Hour ? Location: Minneapolis, MN ? Schedule: 2nd Shift, Mon-Fri 3:30PM-12AM with required O/T as needed. Daily functions:
  1. Machine high quality parts within tolerance requirements using CNC and manual machines.
  2. Read routing information to determine sequence and method of machining.
  3. Layout work, partner with Mfg. Engineering related to set up, machining and tooling.
  4. Performs preventative maintenance of machines and equipment.
  5. Uses electric and pneumatic hand tools.
  6. Deburr and hand clean parts.
  7. Completes necessary QA/Customer documentation.
  8. Maintains a clean work area.
  9. Lift and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane, or jib crane.
  10. Demonstrates a commitment to Continuous Improvement by identifying opportunities in day-to-day work.
  11. Performs to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and abides by OSHA and EPA regulations.
Desired qualifications:
  1. 2-year Machining degree or High School degree with a minimum of 3 years equivalent machining experience.
  2. Ability to read design prints, understand geometric design & tolerancing (GD&T) and surface finish requirements.
  3. Ability to operate CNC machinery, vertical turret lathes, bore mills, engine, or turret lathes, radial or horizontal drilling machines, external/internal grinders, horizontal boring mills.
  4. Have knowledge of CNC programming, ability to make basic edits as needed.
  5. Ability to operate equipment such as key-seaters, broaches, band saws, sanding equipment, grinders post drills, hydraulic press and propane or oxy-acetylene heating equipment.
  6. Understand carbide tooling, feeds, and speeds for the machining application.
  7. Ability to be certified in overhead crane, Jib crane and forklift operation.
Physical requirements:
  1. Lifting 50lbs
  2. Standing for long durations of time
  3. Use hands and fingers to operate hand tools.
  4. Routinely lifts and moves objects up to 50 lbs.
  5. Routinely ascends/descends ladders and stairs.
  6. Occasionally works at heights or on platforms.
  7. Occasionally positions self in various works spaces, including low, tight, or confined spaces.
  8. Routinely remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  9. Routinely uses repetitive motions including the wrists, hands, or fingers to operate machinery or tools.
