HomeSafe is seeking a Contract Specialist to join our GHC Contracts Team and to provide all forms of contract-related administrative support through all phases of contract execution, administration, and closeout. The Contract Specialist position will perform a range of contract administrative functions leading to compliant and responsive contract execution, modification, invoicing and other actions as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

Actively engage with the HomeSafe Contracts and other Functional Teams to perform on GHC, which is a FAR Part 12 commercial, firm fixed rate contract. The Contracts Specialists duties will include:

:

Build and maintain a relationship with the Government customer contracting office and Government appointed CORs.

Receive, log, and store all correspondence received/sent to the Government customer.

Draft and submit timely responses to all Government correspondence.

Coordinate, review, and submit reports (CDRLs) in compliance with contract requirements.

Maintain contract files in accordance with regulations.

Coordinate with HomeSafe Leadership Team and appropriate functions to review contract modifications and task orders for execution.

Draft, review, and record all contractual documents and correspondence.

Provide recommendations on contract matters to the Leadership Team and functional teams.

Coordinate with the Government customer and the HomeSafe Finance team on matters of cash flow related to acquisitions.

Analyze customer requirements against the contract and FAR/DFARS restriction to determine and document any new Government requested requirements.

Recommend appropriate contracting strategies and associated long-term impact to the program.

Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.

2+ years of Government (DoD) contract administration experience.

Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.

Demonstrated experience in/with:

Displaying a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment toward completing assignments by the required deadline and in a timely manner.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Wage Determination (WD) contract requirements

Working within a customer-oriented environment and providing quality service.

Participating productively as a contributing member in a team environment.

Communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.

Using Microsoft Office and standard computer applications

Identifying problems; determining accuracy and relevance of information; using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and making recommendations.

Making sound and well-informed recommendations

Perceiving the impact and implications of recommendations
