Position Summary

We're looking for a talented PC Technician to join our IT team. We support our global IT infrastructure, including network infrastructure, production systems, and endpoint devices. In this role you'll provide hands-on IT technical support to Banner's global computer users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues and supporting client-based operating systems and applications; you'll also install and configure desktops, laptops, and terminals.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide exceptional customer service for all hardware and software issues using the company's ticket tracking system (KACE), and properly documents requests/issues and resolutions
  • Install, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair PC hardware (desktops and laptops) and related peripherals (printers, monitors, mice, cameras, etc.)
  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot PC software including, but not limited to Microsoft Windows and Office, Adobe, phone system, Java client, internet browsers and Virtual Private Network (VPN)
  • Assist in maintaining our hardware and software assets inventory
  • Assist in supporting user account information, IT security, group policy, patch management, anti-virus protection, anti-spam and other security related tasks
  • Provide technical support in LAN and WAN including Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and VPN, etc.

Required
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
    • Knowledge of networking and telecommunications technologies
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP, as well as Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365
  • Well-organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as a member of the team
Preferred
  • Prior networking or telecommunications experience
  • Technical certifications such as A+
  • One year of customer service experience
