Job Description The IT Business Analyst is responsible for supporting project delivery by facilitating communication between business units, customers, project teams, and stakeholders. This role focuses on eliciting, analyzing, and managing business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria while ensuring solutions deliver value to end users. The Business Analyst works closely with project managers, development teams, and stakeholders to improve business processes and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in managing project work through effective stakeholder communication. Elicit, document, and manage business requirements including features and user stories. Manage and maintain the product backlog for assigned projects. Decompose user stories into consumable tasks for upcoming sprints. Lead identification and documentation of acceptance criteria for user stories. Ask probing questions to clarify requirements and communicate details to development teams. Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and value. Drive adoption and integration of business analyst roles and processes. Assess customer capabilities and needs and identify potential solution options. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Work with technical teams to define solution approaches that maximize customer value. Support development of project documentation in collaboration with the PMO. Gather, validate, and verify system and software requirements. Support task creation, estimation, and requirement implementation with development teams. Facilitate and support user acceptance testing activities. Support stakeholders post-delivery to identify ongoing needs and issues. Lead analysis and testing activities within assigned projects. Research and resolve questions, defects, and technical roadblocks during project execution. Create and maintain testing plans using an iterative development methodology. Model current and future business processes to align stakeholder understanding. Identify gaps in data requirements and support data modeling efforts. Create user interface mock-ups as needed. Support prioritization decisions by outlining business and technical impacts. Work with stakeholders to develop user scenarios and update business procedures. Identify and document system recommendations for current and future improvements. Requirement / Must Have Bachelors degree with a focus in information technology or equivalent experience. Two to three years of experience working with business stakeholders to identify and document IT needs. Experience with business analysis, requirements definition, and validation. Knowledge of and experience with agile development processes. Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Experience Two to three years of experience in business analysis or related IT roles.
