The Business Analytics (BA) team is a lean, technical, cross-functional analytics team that serves the Toyota and Lexus organizations. The Marketing Analytics team, a subset of Business Analytics, enables data-driven business decisions across advertising, marketing and digital domains of the customer journey, by delivering insights and analytics solutions that provide centralized access to data stitched together from disparate sources. The Marketing Analytics team is seeking a highly technical and qualified Toyota and Lexus Marketing Analytics Manager to support our marketing stakeholders.
What youll be doing
Lead and shape the use of cutting-edge marketing analytics techniques to unlock actionable insights and strategies, setting new benchmarks for data-driven decision-making
Deliver marketing data and analytics solutions for MMM/MTA and other marketing measurement initiatives (e.g. Media, Sponsorships, Email Marketing, Auto Shows, Product Marketing, etc.), to optimize performance and drive alignment with industry best practices
Analyze media performance data, including impressions, clicks, conversions, and other key metrics, to assess performance across various media products, advertisers, and publisher/placement types.
Identify areas for improvement and support marketing optimization strategies based on data analyses; translate insights into compelling narratives for executive audiences.
Ensure agency and internal teams adhere to all data quality, governance and tagging infrastructure requirements as per guidelines set by Business Analytics
Experience with multiple digital marketing technology stack components such as Social media analytics (Brandwatch, Sprinklr), Email marketing (Salesforce), Digital (Google Analytics, Adobe analytics), Ad server (DCM, Flashtalking), Data onboarding and activation platform (Axciom LiveRamp), and Attribution (Neustar, Analytic Partners)
Significant experience in building future proof technology integrations with major media partners across all channels including linear, digital/programmatic, OTT, CTV, audio, OOH, social, search, etc.
Provide guidance, options and alternatives for solutioning on relevant MarTech, CRM, analytical tools/technologies/applications to address business challenges in collaboration with stakeholders, IT, vendors and agencies
Data Engineering, Reporting, and Analysis
Define and own the marketing analytics roadmap, leading the delivery of related end-to-end technical analytics solutions, aligned with overall Business Analytics strategy and Marketing business unit priorities
Responsible for data acquisition via API, FTP, SFTP, S3, etc., ensuring development according to best practices related to authentication, encryption, and security
Responsible for data transformation, ensuring quality development using tools such as Alteryx, Talend, Databricks, SSIS, Informatica, and/or programming languages such as SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, or R
Responsible for data visualization, ensuring feature-rich, quality development using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Looker
Lead and manage a team of team members and technical contractors (Sr. Data Analysts, Data engineers, Media Agency SME and Digital analytics vendors) to gather requirements, prioritize the backlog, and deliver analytics solutions
Implement and execute agile principles, communicate project status, risks, dependencies and roadblocks for technical audiences and business stakeholders
Coach and guide teammates, empowering them to identify, raise and resolve problems
Engage team members across the Toyota and Lexus marketing organization to define, track, and report on marketing KPIs
Drive business unit adoption of campaign performance reports/dashboards to provide key learnings and feedback (trends, patterns, irregularity) for the marketing teams
Data Science
Lead the implementation, adoption, and enhancements for Marketing Mix Model projects across Toyota and Lexus.
Responsible for technical data science work in the marketing functions, including leading data scientists in the development of quantitative models used for complex decisions related to marketing ROI/impact, marketing mix, and media and digital optimization
Leverage knowledge of statistical and artificial intelligence / machine learning techniques to ensure best practices are followed in data science projects, such as Logistic Regression, Time Series Analysis, Experimental Design, Causal Inference, Generalized Linear Models, Mixed Modeling, Text Analytics, Multivariate Statistics, Large-Scale Predictive Modeling, CHAID/decision trees, Gradient Boosted Trees, Random Forests, and Neural Networks
Cultivate an open, hypothesis-driven, test-and-learn culture within team and business units
Technology Architecture and Integrations
Lead the design of an end-to-end solution architecture that combines one or many of cloud, AI, automation, data management, integration technologies and other multi-vendor capabilities and become marketings trusted advisor and co-create and design innovative solutions
Experience in marketing technology and automation, or customer data management-centric roles defining application architecture strategies and solutions, implementing marketing analytics solutions & integrations with native systems for closed loop measurement.
What you bring
Bachelors Degree in Science, Business Analytics, MIS; or Equivalent related professional marketing/business analytics experience
Deep experience in an analytical role in e-commerce, technology, consulting, marketing, product management, or operations research
Deep experience in advertising technology, marketing technology, measurement, and reporting
Expertise in data engineering, using tools such as Alteryx, Databricks, SSIS, Informatica, and programming languages such as SQL, Python, Spark, or Scala
Expertise in dashboard development using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Experience with data science or artificial intelligence / machine learning involving tools or programming languages such as R, Python, Spark, SageMaker, Jupyter Notebooks, BQML, TensorFlow, etc.
Comfortable with marketing platforms i.e. Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, Adobe Analytics, Axciom, Demand and Supply side platforms
Added bonus if you have
Experience at a Media agency in an analytics leadership role
Experience with building analytics platforms on Cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS
