Job Description:

eShocan is seeking ADAS/ADS Evaluation Engineers to join our team and help shape the future of autonomous driving technology. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and tuning ADAS and ADS systems, with a focus on North American road conditions and challenges. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement proof-of-concept systems, while utilizing advanced testing and data acquisition equipment to assess and enhance system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ADAS/ADS Evaluation: Support the evaluation and fine-tuning of ADAS and ADS systems to ensure performance under North American road conditions.
  • Proof-of-Concept Development: Assist in the development and implementation of proof-of-concept systems to validate and demonstrate advanced driving technologies.
  • Test Vehicle Configuration: Configure, modify, and troubleshoot test vehicles, sensors, and data acquisition equipment to ensure proper system operation.
  • Communication & Issue Resolution: Communicate performance issues with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, proposing appropriate countermeasures for improvements.
  • Benchmarking: Implement quantitative benchmarking methods for ADAS on competitor vehicles using GPS, camera, and other sensor data.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Perform data gathering evaluations on public roads and proving grounds, analyze test data, and provide performance change recommendations to system owners through project leaders.
What You Bring:
  • Technical Expertise: Experience installing, troubleshooting, and using data acquisition and testing equipment such as CanAlyzer, Vbox, Panel 4, or similar systems.
  • GPS Knowledge: Functional knowledge of high-precision GPS systems, including differential measurements and base station corrections.
  • Programming Skills: Basic proficiency in creating or modifying scripts to automatically analyze test and simulation data using MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Experience evaluating ADAS or ADS systems and performing road tests.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for domestic U.S. work.
  • Driver's License: A valid U.S. driver's license.

  • Simulation & Verification: Experience with simulation, closed-track, or on-road verification of vehicle control systems.
  • Regulatory Testing: Knowledge of ADAS-related regulatory assessment protocol testing.
  • Cloud Computing: Experience with or functional knowledge of cloud computing systems such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or equivalent platforms.
  • Radar & Machine Vision: Working knowledge of radar, machine vision, and sonar systems used in autonomous driving.
  • Robotics & ROS: Experience in robotics or ROS-based (Robot Operating System) development.
