Description The Recruiter at Elephant & Company will be the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the entire lifecycle of the recruitment and onboarding processes for our family of brands including Eastern Market Brewing Co., Ferndale Project and Dooped Donuts. This includes sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates and coordinating and facilitating the onboarding process to ensure new employees are set up for success and well-versed in our culture from day one. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating an exceptional candidate and employee experience Key Responsibilities: Recruitment: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews to assess candidate suitability. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment on candidate profiles. Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) to track candidate progress and maintain accurate records. Onboarding: Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation sessions to introduce company policies, procedures, and culture. Prepare and distribute onboarding materials, including employee handbooks, benefits information, and training materials. Liaise with various departments to ensure all necessary equipment, access, and resources are provided to new hires. Conduct check-ins with new employees to address any questions or concerns, facilitate a smooth transition into their roles, and gather feedback to improve the recruitment and onboarding process continually. Compliance and Additional Functions Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment and onboarding. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Support payroll timecard processing, supporting department managers to ensure accurate records. Assist and participate in additional cyclical HR programs and initiatives such as performance management, training & development, open enrollment, etc. Requirements A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred. SHRM or HRCI Certification is preferred. Proven experience in recruiting and/or onboarding, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms, preferably Paylocity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with candidates, employees, and hiring managers. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly related to recruitment and onboarding. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
