Position: Project Manager

Position Overview: As a Project Manager at My Client, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding project outcomes while nurturing client relationships and mentoring your team. Your expertise will drive our success across plumbing, pipefitting, and sheet metal trades, making you a key player in our continued growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating:

Develop accurate estimates for plumbing, pipefitting, and sheet metal projects.

Mentor Assistant Project Managers in change order estimating and estimating best practices.

Support the My Client team in completing detailed estimates and analyses.

Managing Labor:

Forecast and schedule labor hours effectively.

Build and maintain strong relationships with Foremen and crew members to ensure smooth operations.

Communicate and collaborate with team members to optimize labor efficiency and project execution.

Safety:

* Conduct safety audits to uphold a safe working environment.

* Address safety concerns promptly with Foremen and crew members.

* Plan and implement safety measures from the start to the completion of each project.

Sales:

Cultivate and manage relationships with customers, owners, and general contractors.

Seek out and develop new business opportunities.

Lead proposal generation and presentations to secure new projects.

Technical Knowledge:

Apply comprehensive mechanical system knowledge to diverse projects.

Ensure compliance with building codes and standards, delivering exceptional value to customers.

Operational Excellence:

Demonstrate leadership by driving continuous improvement in both personal and company processes.

Adhere to the Project Management Process Map to ensure consistent project success.

Achieve or exceed individual gross margin targets.

Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers to enhance their development and performance.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

5+ years of progressive project management experience in mechanical contracting, specializing in plumbing, piping, and sheet metal.

Proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships.

Deep understanding of construction and mechanical contractor industry practices, standards, and their impact on project activities.

Experience in leading and guiding teams using innovative management techniques.

Skilled in preparing estimates for plumbing, piping, and sheet metal projects.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adaptability to new software systems.

*LEED accreditation is a plus.
