The Director, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting is an integral part of our Finance team based out of our US - Teaneck, NJ site.

Position Details

The Director, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting will be responsible for all aspects of SEC reporting. The position will oversee technical accounting research related to new and proposed accounting standards, as well as preparing necessary technical accounting memos associated with business acquisition, refinancing, accounting policy, etc. This individual will work cross functionally with the Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, Legal, the global finance team and others to ensure timely filings of SEC reporting requirements, earnings release, lease accounting, non-routine transactions and other ad-hoc items as needed.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the preparation and filing of SEC periodic reports such as Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, including reviewing all related iXBRL reporting.* Coordinate with external auditors to support the quarterly review and annual audit requirements.* Support and maintain SOX compliance.* Assist with annual ESG reporting requirements.* Oversee the Company's lease accounting (ASC 842).* Perform fluctuation analysis on consolidated balance sheet and income statement variances.* Lead all technical accounting efforts on new accounting standards issued by the SEC and FASB, including preparation of memos on technical accounting related items, such as business acquisition, refinancing, and other non-routine transactions.

Education & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (Active CPA license required)* Seven plus years of experience either in a similar role at a publicly traded company or at a Big 4 working with publicly traded companies* Exceptional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and technical accounting, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, hedge accounting* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Systems: Toppan Merrill Bridge and Lease Accelerator knowledge is a plus, Microsoft office (Excel).
