The Company is located in the DFW area (Plano) and has a hybrid model.

Responsibilities:

Oversees month-end close processes, payroll process, sales tax return preparation, Form 1099 preparation, and Business Personal Property Tax rendition preparation for assigned clients. Serves as the main client contact to address any topics related to outsourced accounting procedures/operations, accounting treatment of transactions, changes in business and general tax issues to facilitate transfer of data to internal tax professionals. Provides general QB and accounting consulting to clients, assists with year-end tax planning and prepares client accounting records for preparation by Tax. Develops and guides staff through consistent feedback and structuring work so that staff are correcting problems and learning how to figure out issues. Communicates with clients to request information and responds to questions as well as managing clients to meet internal and external deadlines. Provides excellent client service.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 5-7 years accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a client-facing industry Possesses a desire to grow professionally and take on responsibility. Extensive technical accounting knowledge Ability to critically examine financial reports/statements to identify accounting errors, operational issues and other potential problems. Outstanding ability to articulate and communicate, in written form and verbally, with clients and teammates in a manner that is both precise and logical. Exceptional analytical skills complemented by flexibility to both systematically evaluate details as well as consider the bigger picture; a skilled and proven problem-solver. Capable of providing actionable feedback and doesn't shy away from enforcing expectations. Proficient at reading and examining legal/technical documents and assessing for accuracy, completeness and relevancy to accounting tasks. Savvy technology user Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as function as a member of a team. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, meetings, emails and telephone call demands; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
