This is a support role that fits within a multi-disciplinary subsurface team. . Essential duties and responsibilities: Primary interface between the external data management company and Tallgrass technical staff. Responsible for ensuring that data entering the company is recorded and tracked. Develop and implement a transmittal system. Develop and implement data governance for seismic, well, and monitoring data. Develop and implement a cohesive approach to managing subsurface data and designing efficient and consistent workflows. Work with compliance team to develop a system for capturing and storing monitoring data, including seismicity monitoring data, soil and fluid samples. Design a system for automated data retrieval into regulatory reporting. Responsible for loading files into interpretation platforms. QC data to ensure that dataloads are robust and consistent. Develop and implement a process for capturing internally generated data to ensure that it is stored in the appropriate place and is searchable within the data management system. Develop processes for managing and optimizing disk space. Work with data management company to generate reports that communicate the status of company's data to management. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirements: Education: *

BS in Geoscience, Engineering, Computer Science or related field Experience/Specific Knowledge: At least 5 years data management experience in CCS, Petroleum or other subsurface related industry. Broad understanding of geoscience datatypes including all types of seismic data, potential fields, well logs, and model data. Familiar with common subsurface meta-data and formats Experience dataloading in interpretation platforms such as Petrel, Techlog, and Hampson Russell. Working knowledge of Python and SQL. Ability to do simple processing in Petrel such as gain control and stacking gathers Strong organizational and management skills. Certifications, Licenses & Registrations: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel). Competencies, Skills & Abilities: Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with all levels of management and IT Skilled in managing and analyzing large amounts of data. Ability to generate and communicate maps. Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules. Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines. Ability to organize and prioritize daily work. Working Conditions: Travel is required and is anticipated 25% of the time during project milestones. Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours. The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed. Working after hours, nights, weekends, holidays as needed. Supervisory Responsibility: No PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position: Experience supporting Microsoft environment.
