Job Summary
Supervises and delivers high quality patient-focused health care services. The LPN Supervisor assist with staffing needs/provider scheduling and ensures that patient dignity and privacy is maintained through the preservation of confidentiality of information and data. The LPN Supervisor maintains standards of nursing care and participates in continuous quality improvement studies. The LPN Supervisor ensures physicians' orders are followed; ensures that patient conditions and progress are accurately reported; ensures that patient care is administered by all professional and non-professional personnel in the hospital according to organization and regulatory policies and guidelines. Other responsibilities include providing feedback on staff member performance to the Manager/Director Physician Practice, coordinating supplies, utilizing appropriate health care resources when needed, assessing staff member continuing education needs, licensing, credentialing, provider onboarding, organization of staff meetings, facilitating UR needs, patient excuses and leave documentation, medication prior authorizations, phone calls/faxes/mail addressing medication and miscellaneous clinical issues, ensuring external medical record availability, facilitating LEERS (death records) completion, and observing departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: 2 years clinical experience as an LPN
Education: graduate of accredited LPN program
Special Skills: Proficient in the English language, verbal and written communication skills, computer skills
Licensure: Current Louisiana license as a Practical Nurse; current BLS certification
