Vari is seeking an Operations Specialist to oversee our parcel operations and final mile transportation, manage 3PL partners, and ensure that every customer interaction reflects the high standards of the Vari brand.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Take full ownership of the parcel and final mile freight network, ensuring that service levels and capacity meet or exceed expectations.
  • Lead efforts to maintain exceptional service across all channels, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the customer experience.
  • Manage relationships with parcel carriers, acting as the primary liaison between carriers and 3PL partners.
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple departments and partners to ensure timely product delivery within the desired timeframe.
  • Follow processes meticulously, paying close attention to detail.
  • Monitor and measure key performance indicators to sustain high levels of performance, execution quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness in serving Vari teammates and customers.
  • Handle all correspondence promptly and effectively, maintaining proactive communication with internal and external business partners.
  • Maintain and update carrier scorecards to track performance.
  • Utilize system knowledge and analytical skills to extract and report business data, identifying operating trends for monthly reports.
  • Work closely with the operations team to identify improvement areas, develop new processes and procedures, and regularly discuss progress and troubleshoot challenges.

Requirements

HOW YOU'LL GET THERE
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in operations or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of parcel shipping processes, regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Experience in SAP and Salesforce.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
